Nikolaos Risvas

Nikolaos Risvas was the founder and senior partner of the Risvas & Associates Law Firm. Since 1982 he practiced the law with morals and camaraderie, honoring the legal community for more than four decades. During his long professional career, he handled numerous important civil and criminal cases at all levels of Justice.

He passed away suddenly on May 16, 2023.

Alexander Risvas

Alexander Risvas is the firm’s Managing Partner. His experience includes among others advising on legal issues of International and Greek law, investment migration law, property law and claims. He has He focuses on the management of business interests of multinational companies and high net-worth individuals conducting business or holding assets in Greece and he advises international and domestic clients on local and international business transactions, including real estate issues, residence by investment, commercial cooperation agreements and commercial lease agreements.

He holds a postgraduate degree (LL.M.) from University College London (UCL) and he is a member of the Athens Bar Association as well as the International Bar Association and the International Migration Council (IMC). He speaks Greek, English, French and Italian.

Styliani Risvas

Styliani Risva is a Senior Consultant at Risvas & Asscotiates Law Firm. She currently acts as advisor on civil, immigration and business law cases. Given that she has been representing clients before the courts; her advisory skills are informed by her long-term litigation experience.

She holds a law degree (LL.B.) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and she speaks Greek, English and French.

Rena Manteli

Rena Manteli joined Risvas & Associates Law Firm in 1995 as a legal secretary and is now acting as a Senior Administrator and Paralegal assisting attorneys in the areas of civil litigation, extrajudicial proceedings and settlements, claims and debt recovery. Her business practice includes coordination with attorneys and management of transaction closings. She maintains regular contact with clients to meet their needs.

Eleni Dimoula

Eleni Dimoula is a partner at Risvas & Associates Law Firm.  Eleni’s focus is in the area of civil and commercial litigation, representing clients in civil and commercial disputes, enforcement and insolvency proceedings. She specializes in commercial lease agreements, company formation and she has an extensive experience in representing clients in extrajudicial proceedings and settlements.

Burak Oğuz, is an alumni of Saint Joseph French High School, class ’94 and a graduate from the Istanbul Business University, class ’00. Burak is business active in Greece since 2001 and he is very familiar with the country and its major areas like Athens and Piraeus.

He currently works as a business partner at Risvas & Associates Law Firm assisting Turkish nationals in investing wisely into the Greek real estate market and prepare the necessary documentation for the Greek Golden Visa.

Description of our data processing practices

What personal data we collect?

We collect and process information provided to us by or on behalf of our clients and their respective executives, agents, consultants and staff for the purpose of rendering legal services. This collection and processing of personal data is justified by the scope of our function and is based on our legitimate interest as a law firm providing professional legal services, in accordance always with our commitment to inviolable trust towards our clients. .

R&A Law Firm is primarily engaged by corporate entities and as such those legal entities are not data subjects. However, even within that context, personal data may be provided to us (e.g. personal information relating to any of our corporate clients’ or prospective clients’ officers or personnel, opponent or vendor or purchaser or personal information relating to their legal or other advisors or personnel, as the case may be). The personal data collected is not limited only to the kind of information that can be found on a business card, such as names, titles/position, company name, work addresses, e-mail addresses and phone numbers, but may include other identifiable information.

We further collect background information and personal data necessary not only to fulfil our statutory obligations in relation to conflict checks, anti-money laundering, knowing our clients procedures but also to prepare for legal proceedings or defend a claim or render the required legal services to our clients. To such effect we may collect and process personal data of third parties (court officers, witnesses, and other individuals involved in the legal proceedings we handle.

What is the legal basis and our legitimate interests for the processing of personal data?

We process personal data i) on the basis of our legitimate interests to provide legal services and advice to our clients (such processing is required in the aim of our clients’ legitimate interests to obtain legal advice and representation), ii) on the basis of a legitimate interest in order to comply with obligations related to the operation of our business such as maintaining our accounts, record keeping, billing and tax compliance purposes and finally, and iii) in order to meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We process special categories of personal data only if required i) for the exercise or defence of legal claims, ii) based on your consent, iii) for employment and social security law related purposes and iv) for reasons connected with a statutory provision for reasons of public interest.

How and when do we share the personal data we collect?

We sub-contract third parties, after careful selection and following an appropriate due diligence conduct, as well as execution of contractual documentation to ensure that these third parties process personal information appropriately, offering the required level of protection and according to our legal and regulatory obligations.
